H₂Ortigator connects to and is controlled by your existing micro-sprinkler or drip irrigation system and is compatible with all fixed irrigation growing systems. It suits apple, grape, kiwifruit, avocado, stone fruit and tree nut plantings – focus on your mature, yielding plants and let H₂Ortigator babysit your replacements.

How it works

H₂Ortigator operates on a pressure and vacuum system that mimics the frequent and often irrigation practices utilised in new plantings. When irrigation is applied to your mature plants, the unit fills with approximately 7 litres of water in under a minute, limited by a float valve. As the unit fills, it pressurises, activating the patented self-cleaning emitter. After your irrigation has ceased,  H₂Ortigator continues to water the replacement plant for 28 or 48 hours, emitter dependent.

• 1st season emitter: 0.15 L/hr, applied over a 48 hour period
• 2nd season emitter: 0.25 L/hr, applied over a 28 hour period
• Emitter unit fitted with a 120 micron filter to collect contamination
• Self-cleaning emitter operates all season with no maintenance after installation

Installation

• Install the unit at planting.
• Slide the H₂Ortigator around the replacement plant and under the irrigation line or wire.
• Connect the 4mm dropper hose into the lateral line, or replace an existing micro emitter.

That’s it; the unit works in conjunction with your existing irrigation system and scheduling.

Reuse

H₂Ortigator is designed for the first two years of a replacement plant’s life. Once the plant is established, remove the unit and move it to your next replacement – it is reusable over multiple replacement cycles.
