Knitted & Woven Shadecloth

Many crops can benefit from shading and for some it’s essential. Redpath import and distribute a range of high quality shadecloth fabrics for use in horticulture, animal shelter and for the home garden.

A commercial grade monofilament yarn is UV stabilised and extruded in house and then converted into the various textile grades and colours. Redpath offer a fabricated cover service and make shade covers to your custom size with side hems, pockets, eyelets etc.

Three shade densities are supplied

90gsm – “VL” = very light shade (Combined knitted and woven shade textile)
196gsm – “L” = light shade (Full knitted shade textile)
240gsm – “M” = Medium shade (Full knitted shade textile)

GSM ‘grams per square metre’ is also nominal as this weight is an average weight across the full roll and can vary due to the manufacturing knitting process.
All Shadecloth is supplied as a roll length of 50m as standard.

REMEMBER: The size of your shadecloth will need to be slightly larger than the dimensions of your structure!

Windbreak

Many crops can benefit from wind shelter and for some it’s essential for plants at an early age. Redpath windbreak is also used to protect your home and surrounding environment from excessive or persistent winds.
Redpath windbreak use the Redpath “VL” shadecloth range for windbreak duties.

Our commercial grade windbreak is a trusted brand and is used nationwide by farmers, horticulturists, nurseries, councils and government departments.

The wind protection factor stated is ‘nominal’ – Wind protection factors will vary depending on the design of the windbreak, the aspect of the windbreak to the relevant wind direction, wind-speed and the condition and cleanliness of the windbreak fabric.

You can use Redpaths butterfly design windbreak clip to secure the cloth at the edges to a wire.
