Flat Roof Shadehouse

Our popular “Flat Roof Design” shadehouses are an affordable and simple to erect all steel frame shelter.

Suitable for small, medium or very large areas each vertical pole has a quick-fit four-way slide-connector that gives simple assembly of the overhead and sidewall steel pipe rails. All steel framework is pre-cut to length and ready for assembly with only basic tools and skills required to erect the building.

The design of the structure is a grid with sloping walls around the external of the structure that offer excellent lateral stability and effective wind-deflection. The structure can consist of multiple grids in both the width and the length with each grid being 6.57m by 6.57m centre of post to centre of post.

The tall 3 metre internal ceiling height gives clearance for small farm machinery and allows any overhead irrigation systems to give good floor coverage. All of the steel framework is galvanised and stainless steel cables are used around the base edge of the building for longevity.

The standard cladding is the most popular knitted commercial grade 45/50% shadecloth for the roof, and sides. Alternative claddings may also be fitted as an option to the roof or the side walls.

Our design offers the flexibility of being able to fit different cladding types to different sections of the shadehouse. For example you may choose to have varying grades of shade fabric on the roof, and different types of cloth on the sidewall (or no side cladding at all). Duralock aluminium fastening system is included to securely fasten the cladding.

A 6.5m wide walk-in “opening” is included within one wall as standard + you can add more openings if required.

A sliding steel frame door may be also be fitted as an option to the 6.5m opening(s).

Let us know how many entrances or doors are required when you email us a quote request.

Redpath flat roof shadehouses are suited for most sites. The shadehouses are not generally suited for regions with heavy snow-load.
If you do not wish to use concrete to secure the steel poles into the ground – You may connect the poles to your own rammed timber pole(s)* (*timber pole and pole modification not included).

The design does not include engineering for council as they are a non-water-bearing / draining surface. (rainfall travels through the shadecloth)
