Ventilation Racks, Pinions, Bearing Plates & Connectors

Redpath buildings use the quality range of “Dutch” Ridder brand rack and pinion vent drive arms. These very well proven racks are built to last and last and require little maintenance other than occasional greasing. Redpath also supply the vent tube support bearing “torque tube bearings” which when fastened to the buildings rafter will both guide and support the vent drive tubes.

Ridder Racks

Straight, zinc-plated sheet steel rack for either 22m or 30mm pinion housing units. Underneath on the back of the sheet steel rack there is a square hole. This is for mounting a coach bolt for extra run-out protection. The sheet steel rack can be attached to an air vent or ventilation flap with a window bracket set.

Ridder 30mm x 1445mm Rack

Straight, zinc-plated sheet steel rack for 30mm pinion housing.
Underneath on the back of the sheet steel rack there is a square hole. This is for mounting a coach bolt for extra run-out protection.
The sheet steel rack can be attached to an air vent or ventilation flap with a window bracket set.

Ridder Pinion Houses

The 22/30mm Pinion house unit with appropriate sheet steel rack are low-maintenance drives for the operation of vents and ventilation flaps, etc. The pinion houses are contained in a zinc-plated sheet steel housing and feature hardened pinions, slide bearings and plastic guide rollers.

Ridder 22mm Pinion House

The Ridder 22mm Pinion House rack drives can be mounted on 1" tubular shafts (33.7 mm dia., minimum wall thickness 2.5 mm). Here, the pinion is fastened on the tubular drive shaft with two set screws (tightening moment 8 Nm).
