Film Clipping Systems
Duralock Clipping System
Duralock2 is Redpath’s continuous bead fastening system for film and fabric. It is specifically designed to reliably retain all widths of claddings. Duralock2 is suited to high wind applications and its “self-locking” design means that “the harder the wind blows the tighter the Duralock2 will grip the cladding”. Duralock2 is simple and easy to assemble with the base aluminium profile being screwed to the framework and then the “channel” UPVC strip part of the Duralock being pushed into the jaw of the aluminium followed by the “locking bead” UPVC part. Duralock2 is very easy on the cladding and is unlikely to damage the cladding during assembly.
Duralock2 incorporates a “shading cap” along the front edge of the channel insert to help protect the cladding from the heat of the sun. Duralock2 may be used to secure claddings in thickness between 100 microns and 500 microns. It is ideal for single skin or twin skin applications. Duralock is available in both single groove and twin groove designs.
Duralock is supplied in 1.5m lengths
Domlock Clipping System
Domlock is Redpath’s continuous bead fastening system for film and fabric. It is specifically designed to reliably retain all widths of claddings. Domlock is suited to for all your domestic requirements. Domlock is simple and easy to assemble with the base aluminium profile being screwed to the framework and then the “channel” UPVC strip part of the Domlock being pushed into the jaw of the aluminium followed by the “locking bead” UPVC part. Domlock is very easy on the cladding and is unlikely to damage the cladding during assembly.
Domlock is available in both single groove and twin groove designs.
Domlock is supplied in 2m lengths with the inserts being 1.5m.
Lockstrip Clipping System
The original Redpath patented design clipping system and used for more than 35 years throughout Australasia. Lockstrip is also a “self-locking” design that tightens as the wind load on the cladding increases. The aluminium base is again screwed to the buildings framework and then the white “insert” and the black locating clip is fitted. Two inserts are available for the Lockstrip system. One to suit claddings of up to 350 micron (longleg), and one to handle thicker claddings (shortleg).
We no longer stock Lockstrip bases.
